Our plant at Bernsteinsee stores the energy from surplus solar power in the form of synthetic natural gas (SNG). Our plant produces this from hydrogen and CO\u2082. The Hotel Bernsteinsee can therefore use 100% of its solar power and does not have to feed in any surplus.<\/span><\/p>\n

The SNG can be burned emission-free in commercially available CHPs and condensing boilers. Thanks to our unique closed combustion using an adapted oxyfuel process, 100% CO\u2082 is produced during combustion. The CO\u2082 remains in the system and is reused to produce SNG. This creates a sustainable, clean energy solution with a closed SNG and CO\u2082 cycle.<\/span><\/p>\n

Here, synthetic natural gas is produced by synthesizing hydrogen and CO\u2082<\/span>. This process is known as methanation.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

The SNG produced in the second step is compressed and stored in normal pressure tanks.. This storage enables a large and independent availability of renewable energy.<\/span><\/p>\n

This allows for flexible demand to provide electricity and heat on demand. This means that surplus energy can also be used efficiently and long-term at a later date.<\/span><\/p>\n

To reuse the stored energy, the SNG is converted into heat and electricity in CHPs and condensing boilers. <\/span>With our modified oxyfuel process, 100% CO\u2082 is generated during the closed combustion of SNG.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

In this adapted process, oxygen and a certain amount of CO\u2082 are used as combustion air. By excluding air during combustion, no nitrogen oxides are produced and only CO\u2082 and water vapor remain as combustion products. The water is removed and the CO\u2082 obtained in this way is stored. The CO\u2082 is used to produce SNG again.<\/span><\/p>\n

Unsere Anlage am Bernsteinsee speichert die Energie aus \u00fcbersch\u00fcssigen Sonnenstrom in Form von synthetischem Erdgas (SNG). Dies erzeugt unsere Anlage aus Wasserstoff und CO\u2082. Das Hotel Bernsteinsee kann damit 100% seines Sonnenstroms nutzen und muss keinen \u00dcberschuss einspeisen.<\/span><\/p>

In handels\u00fcblichen BHKWs und Brennwertthermen kann das SNG emissionsfrei verbrannt werden. Durch unsere einzigartige geschlossene Verbrennung mittels angepassten Oxyfuel-Verfahren entsteht bei der Verbrennung 100% CO\u2082. Das CO\u2082 verbleibt im System und wird erneut zur Produktion von SNG genutzt. So entsteht eine nachhaltige, saubere Energiel\u00f6sung mit geschlossenem SNG und CO\u2082 Kreislauf.<\/span><\/p>

Geschlossene Verbrennung<\/strong><\/h3>

Zur erneuten Nutzung der gespeicherten Energie wird das SNG in BHKWs und Brennwertthermen in W\u00e4rme und Strom umgewandelt.<\/span>
Mit unseren modifizierten Oxyfuel-Verfahren wird bei der geschlossenen Verbrennung von SNG 100% CO\u2082 erzeugt.<\/span><\/p>

Bei diesem angepassten Verfahren wird Sauerstoff und eine bestimmte Menge CO\u2082 als Verbrennungsluft verwendet. Durch den Ausschluss von Luft bei der Verbrennung entstehen keinerlei Stickoxide und als Verbrennungsprodukte bleiben lediglich CO\u2082 und Wasserdampf \u00fcbrig. Das Wasser wird entfernt und das so gewonnene CO\u2082 wird gespeichert. Das CO2 wird zur erneuten Produktion von SNG genutzt.<\/span><\/p>
