On the first of May 2024 we proudly celebrated the first anniversary of us, the CYTOK® Hydrogen Pirates!

For one year now, we have been successfully capturing hydrogen, fueled by our positive thinking and transforming it into sustainable energy solutions!

We are proud to look back on our past achievements while unveiling our future projects:

Great teamwork
Our team has done a great job in project development and execution so that we were able to achieve our goals in the first year. In only eight month in 2023 we achieved a sales of > 600.000 € !

Visting fairs with our team
In 2024, we have already visited 2 trade fairs to promote our patented power-to-gas technology and to find new cooperation partners. The first was the E-world energy & water in Essen in February and the Hannover Messe in April. Both fairs were great experiences for us! Read more in our posts below.

Developing and expanding the network
We have found a great network community in the Gründungswerft e.V., where many innovative start-ups and companies from Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania can come together and exchange ideas. We were also introduced to the Mission: Inno Possible by the IHK zu Rostock at a business speed dating event. This is a unique project (also initiated by Bildungswerk der Wirtschaft Mecklenburg-Vorpommern e.V.) that brings students and companies together. You can read more about it in our recently published LinkedIn post. We are looking forward to great events in the future!

Helmholtz-Zentrum Dresden-Rossendorf (HZDR) project realization and implementation
After receiving the order in May 2023 and successfully finishing the feasibility study in March 2024, we are now moving forward with the transformation of the research institute’s energy supply. Our implementation steps included data collection, process technology design, technical evaluation, development of 3 scenarios with extensive simulations, legal review and fully comprehensive results.

CYTOK® and GPSS Group – Power-to-Gas Proof of Concept for a hotel- and leisure facility in Japan
The cooperation, which began in May 2023, continued with a pre-license agreement in November 2023. With project start expected in 2025, we are together paving the way for innovative solutions such as a proof-of concept for a hotel- and leisure area and in other fields of renewable energy in Japan and for other Asian countries.

Sustainable energy supply projects in the Netherlands
2024 will also be the start for our business in the Netherlands. Various projects are in preparation, from a nice castle to residential quarters and commercial buildings. Proof-of-concept plans have already been completed.

Next projects in Germany
We are in the starting blocks for a new project to create a transformation concept for a commercial enterprise in NRW. As soon as the funding application from 2023 (!) has been processed, we will show how green electricity from a 900 kWp PV system can be 100% self-consumed without feeding surpluses into the public grid.

Thank you very much to our fantastic team, all of our partners, and our supporters/investors, that have made this global success possible!

Driven by our commitment to market-ready solutions, CYTOK®’s power-to-X (ptX) technologies combine sustainability with efficiency and economic optimization, transforming innovative ideas into tangible products.

We look forward to the years ahead as we work together to build a sustainable future.
